Exodus

I walk in a garden so green,
Reeking a look that is so serene.

Grey skies showering droplets of rain,
Deluge in love the blood gushing through my veins.

I hear the drops tapping melodiously on the ground,

The voice of my love enchants a melancholy surround!

An intoxicating smell emanating from the wet sands,

Spread my arms to hug her with such grand.
Oh! these emotions of love beget a chaos in my fragile mind,

Craving for a hug that calms me in the warmth of her bind!

A Destitute's Life

The wet tarmac feels like a blanket of ice,
Shards of waste being scavenged upon by the sewer mice.
Street lights flickering at the break of dawn,
Resonate with the beating of my heart that would never again re-spawn!
I stare at the fading stars barely raising my eye lids,
Reminiscence of my 'needy' life flashes by, since a kid.

I took birth on a bed of dead roses,
A bed that never reeked the smell of lactoses.
Thorns that pricked deep in,
Hushed the innocent tears with bleeding.

I barely remember waking grown up,
In as much, my veins never really ran out of the 'syrup'!
Carried around, dazed, drizzle of coins poured in the cradle of hope,
Offerings being used too feed my sedation with more of dope!

The day arrived when I was sobered and end my cradler's loathe,
A moment to cherish 'cos I was gifted with pieces of tattered clothes!
Happiness lasted until I was forcefully graduated,
What good is it to hold a certificate with both arms amputated!

I wandered like a heaven less soul,
Scavenging for food and living in a shit hole.
My license to destitution,
canceled! 'cos of below normal remuneration!

I question the lord, who at birth existed,
I didn't do no wrong to be so wasted!
I can think and so I am a man,
What good is a 'paralyzed' thinking if I cannot feed my own biological can!

Day after day, with no food to sate,
My tortured self bobbered all, that was left of my fate.
My physical self gradually began to raze,
With nothing more left, I once again slip into the world of daze!

Breathing on my last few heartbeats,
I kill the atheist inside and begin to pray,
"Oh almighty! do not impart an orphan's fate to the world of cheats"
Poorest of living is better than destitution on a life's tray!

I don't feel the breeze no more,
Seeing my skeletal body through the eyes of a soul, was not a lore!
A hazy white figure walks towards me & asks, "Son, is there anything u wish?"
I speak, "Rebirth as a human is something I will never cherish!"

Chastity

What is it about you that drives me miles?
Is it the beauty or innocence of your smiles!
Hmmm..I contemplate and delve deep,
Damn! is it the chiseled body that you keep!
Alas! This ain't about being how beatific you are,
It is your spiritual self runs deep and far!
Layers that bind you are curiously intriguing,
Driving my inquisitive self into a season of reaping!
This enamor isn't for the mantle of mortality,
But for the chaste soul of immortality!

Celebrating Woman

"Woman", life support for the humankind! This sex that has accomplished everything that men could and couldn't. The respect that she deserves is unquantified! On this day dedicated for women , a poem that describes the phases of the woman's life has been composed and posted on the consortium blog called the "Writer's Blend", their theme for the month being Celebrating Woman. I would like to thank my mom for enlightening me with the underlying idea of this composition. Wish her and the entire population of women "A very happy women's day". Celebrate. Cherish. Conquer.

Feminist | Resurrection. Reverberation

I am the voice of a woman,
The vital race for existence of human.
Behind the success of every man,

Lies my presence as a talisman!

I am born as a daughter,

Mostly caressed, like the clay by a potter,
Sometimes the victim of a man slaughter,
Life of a woman is an opera of falters!

I adolesce into a wanted dame,
Become an arm candy for all his fame,
Words of wisdom sound all lame,

The time was now to put my horses to tame!

I groom into a caring wife,

Give up everything to acclimatise with his life,

Lived by orders at the edge of a knife,

The glamors of a fairytale is no more rife!

I pregnate into the life of a mother,
Lactate my newborn genes to grow further,
The fairytale endings are here to smother,
Flair of effeminism is now trivial to bother!

I now senesce my presence into an old age home,
After his death, life became a hysterical syndrome,
Story of my life is no more an epitome,

In as much, my'self' has lost all it's chrome!

I now lay on a bed of roses,

My soul sails over the sea of life's dozes.

I am the lady on a flying dutchman,

Hear me out, I am the voice of a woman!

Behind Blue Eyes

Those eyes shroud a mystery from the past,

Painful imageries that are bound to last,

The slits of visions have got to see beyond and into the vast.
Sailing over the horizon looking over the mast,

You are bound to fade away those delusions, as fast.

Enamor

The divine feel of your love,
As pure as the soul of a dove.
Intoxication of these emotions,
Compare beyond the effects of love potions!
U make my soul connect with no sense of fears,
Oh! such an affection brings me to all tears.
I still wonder the type of emotions that I impart,
It only gets stronger with the distances apart.
I thank almighty for giving me the gift of life no sooner than this,
I rejoice with happiness in beauty of this bliss!
